Multi objective parametric optimization and composite material performance study for master leaf spring

Design optimization of product with the objective reducing weight is one current focuses in a design. In vehicle industry, particular, reduction has significant impact on efficiency improvement and fuel economy. These improvements can have direct operating costs vehicle. The methods used to are by optimizing product́s parameters replacing conventional materials highly sustainable strengths. this paper, design model existing master leaf spring been created optimized using SolidWorks parametric goal spring, improving life span structure stress increasing natural frequency spring. constraint was limiting spring’s thickness width as variables. Optimum values these were obtained. Again, parametrically static modal analysis studied under two different composite materials, Epoxy Carbon UD Prepreg E-Glass UD, aiming get minimum improved compared steel material (55SiMn90). result shows that performed better terms level, stiffness frequency. At same time, significantly reduced. summary, study concluded efficient from steel.
